Greetings:
The momentum of change and release continues as May arrives, and as the energy shifts
dramatically, we can shake off the past and imagine a world of possibility, as well as confusion and
instability. On March 30 Neptune entered Aries for the first time in over 150 years, changing the
dynamic of its watery home in Pisces for a fiery action energy to move with greater enthusiasm and
speed. With Neptune in Aries until late March 2039, creativity moves with determination and
courage in the cardinal fire sign of Aries, life will be dynamic and fast moving. At the end of April, a
powerful New Moon in Taurus on April 27 followed the opposition of Mars and Pluto. The
combustion of these patterns remains for 2 weeks, until the Full Moon in Scorpio on May 12 changes
the rhythm of our lives as life continues to bring surprises, welcome and unwelcome. As we cross a
critical threshold the planets Mercury, Venus and Mars are emerging from their retrograde shadows,
helping us to move through the past and regain our footing. Projects and relationships we’ve been
working on are settling into new configurations which reflect the desires, priorities and values we
began last fall. The energy of May’s transit patterns offers us an opportunity to walk a new path with
courage and conviction.
MAY 2025 ASTROLOGICAL PATTERNS:
Venus joins Neptune in Aries on May 2; Pluto begins the retrograde train on May 4:
Venus leaves Pisces and enters Aries, joining Neptune, on May 2, bringing a new understanding of
love as our dreams turn into action and become reality. While Venus occupies Aries (May 2 – June
6) passion and determination increase, and our inner warrior is called into action. Pluto begins the
train of retrograde planets on May 4 and ends on October 13 as Venus opposes Neptune in Aries.
While Pluto is retrograde, we are given a chance to review and reflect on our relationships to
power. Pluto is supported by Venus and Neptune as we transform our world. This will be an inner
transformation with our hearts and imaginations leading the way.
Full Moon in Scorpio on May 12:
The Full Moon in Scorpio on May 12 is opposed by Uranus in Taurus, the final time in our lives. This
pattern occurs every 84 years and is supported by a steady Saturn. This is a time for emotional
breakthroughs that may offer an opportunity for power dynamics to become clear. It is a time for
facing our fears and transforming fear into strength and fearlessness. It is time to get unstuck and
create a new belief system. One of the helpful ideas comes from Ann Voskamp: “No amount of
regret changes the past. No amount of anxiety changes the future. Any amount of grateful joy
changes the present.”
Sun joins Uranus in Taurus for the last time in 84 years on May 17: Mercury squares Mars on May
18, Gemini season begins on May 20:
The struggle between the energy of the Sun in Taurus on May 17 and the presence of Uranus in Taurus
completes a 7-year cycle of Uranus playing a game of Uproar in Taurus. Ruled by Venus the fixed
sign Taurus needs stability, comfort and predictability. In the past 7 years surprises in relationships
and financial matters have caused all of us anxiety, fear and disbelief. Fortunately, there is a great
shift arriving in July 2025 as Uranus, a planet ruling air sign Aquarius, will enter Gemini, a mutable air
sign. This shift should bring about lighter energy so we can experience less trauma in relationships
and financial matters, which seems impossible with the world of finances upside down. We can only
hope! With Mercury in Taurus squaring Mars in Leo on May 17, don’t be surprised if you have the
temptation to be more aggressive with others, as well as having an urge to be impulsive: time to take
a breath and wait till the Sun moves into Gemini on May 20. When we enter the Gemini season on
May 20 we shift into the sign of humor, light-heartedness, curiosity and playfulness. The archetypes
of Puer and Puela (Peter Pan and Wendy) are eternal children who enjoy play and new
experiences. Gemini is a mutable air sign, the total opposite of Taurus (a fixed earth sign) and gives
us 30 days to enjoy life and become lighthearted again. It is time to travel and have new
adventures. Gemini is a talker, a lover of the new experience with new people. It is time to put that
on your list until the Sun moves into Cancer on the Summer Solstice on June 20.
Saturn leaves the water of Pisces and enters fiery Aries on May 24:
For the first time in 30 years Saturn leaves the watery world of Pisces and enters the cardinal fire sign
Aries ruled by Mars on May 24. Mars is an active impulsive and determined energy and Saturn’s
energy is mature, careful and a successful planner. The next 3 years should be very interesting as
these two planets create a new world order. Together the planner Saturn and the dreamer Neptune
are now side by side, blurring and reshaping reality. Saturn is pragmatic and Neptune is a dreamer
and together systems of living are ready to be reconfigured as we seek to build our dreams. Anything
is possible when this combination of energy abounds.
New Moon in Gemini on May 26:
A very auspicious New Moon in Gemini is aligning with Pluto, Neptune and Uranus and busy planting
seeds that will echo for years. Fresh ideas and new awareness will grow as the air age expands. The
future is starting to feel brighter as the weight begins to lift and the path ahead is clear as we get a
glimpse of the change that is ahead. In addition, expensive, generous Jupiter is finishing up his year
in Gemini on June 9. The period between May 26 and June 6 after which Jupiter moves into Cancer
for a year, we can all celebrate our progress.
As the planets change signs and patterns, our resilience is at the forefront of successfully releasing
what no longer serves us. We are in a period of dreaming successfully as energy urges us to go for
it! I am sure all of this is difficult to understand so I am available to translate these patterns as they
affect your astrological chart.
In this one-of-a-kind change year, I recommend you update your astrological chart and
schedule a consultation with me so you will be prepared (this is a major need of Saturn). I will
be available Monday-Saturday in person and virtually in May.
If you want a gift certificate for Mother’s Day or a Graduate, I can email it to you so you can have
a unique gift for your loved ones!
