I hope you had a peaceful holiday and are looking forward to the change in energy in
September.  When I started studying astrology in the 1960’s and opened my practice as
a professional astrology in 1971, no one ever told me that 2025 would produce so much
challenge for the world.  Since November 19, 2024, the energy of the planets Pluto,
Neptune, Uranus and Saturn have disrupted our lives in such unbelievable ways: a
sense of loss and disconnection, as well as the need for human contact and kindness
are rare gifts.   We are navigating a period of change that we have never experienced
before.  Years ago, I studied astrology with a gentleman who worked at RCA and told
me that when the planets are in crisis, so is the weather.  With so many outer planets
going retrograde and the inner planets square dancing through September we will have
experienced uncertainty and vulnerability.  You have not imagined the changes in our
lives: September shifts our energy so we can experience a month of ebb and flow that
will move us forward as we stand at the threshold of change, with one foot in the old
world and another reaching toward a new reality.  More energetic support is available to
us than ever before.  It is time to stay focused and pay attention to our intuition. 

ASTROLOGICAL TRENDS IN SEPTEMBER 2025:

SATURN MOVES BACKWARD INTO PISCES (9/1/25-2/14/26)

Saturn, the planet of order and adulthood leaves fiery Aries for watery Pisces.  We have
until February 2026 to allow us to learn the difference between imagination and reality. 
 It is time to look inward and go with our intuitive flow as we move through unpredictable
obstacles.  It is time to break out of the downward spiral of confidence that is haunting
so many of us.  Remember Saturn will be in Aries until 4/13/28, giving us 3 years to
find our courage and become a warrior for change.

MERCURY MOVES INTO VIRGO FROM 9/2-18); MERCURY MOVES INTO LIBRA (9/18-10/6)

Mental Mercury is at home in Virgo, allowing us to pick up the puzzle of how our mind
works, clarify details with precision and clean up our lives with discipline and
determination.  This is a great time for conversations, new insights, and planning for an
orderly future.  With Uranus in Gemini squaring Mercury, our genius is available for
planning our future.  On 9/18 Mercury will move into Libra until 10/6, improving our
relationships so we can see ourselves and others more clearly.  During this time Pluto
and Uranus, visiting in air signs Aquarius and Gemini create a supportive triangle as
Mercury is lit up from the energy of the outer planets.

URANUS BEGINS HIS RETROGRADE PERIOD (9/6/25-2/3/26)

Uranus, the planet of liberty, unpredictability and rebellion, takes his energy inward,
forming a flowing triangle with evolutionary Pluto throughout September.  Uranus is
visiting Gemini until 11/8/25 when he moves backward into Taurus   for the last time in
84 years. Uranus will be in Taurus from 11/8/25 – 4/26/26.  Uranus is the planet of the
future and is very comfortable in Gemini, also an air sign.  For the past 7 years Uranus
occupied Taurus, a fixed earth sign, which is not comfortable with limits.  Every 84 years
Uranus changes signs so most of us have never experienced the movement of Uranus
in an air sign, which speeds up growth and is moving toward the future.

TOTAL FULL MOON LUNAR ECLIPSE IN PISCES 9/7/25; VIRGO NEW MOON
SOLAR ECLIPSE IN VIRGO 9/21/25

The Pisces Full Moon on 9/7 is a Total Lunar Eclipse, revealing what we need to leave
behind to achieve our future goals.  The energy of the Pisces Full Moon brings a flow of
inspiration and intuition, as well as good fortune and opening the doors to the future that
will echo for years to come.  On 9/21 a Solar Eclipse arrives with a New Moon in Virgo,
the second New Moon in Virgo in a month.  The first New Moon in Virgo occurred on
8/22 at 0 degrees and the second New Moon on 9/21 is closing the door on 29 degrees
of Virgo.  This New Moon signals profound endings that lead to rapid evolution.  This
eclipse has Saturn and Neptune oppose the New Moon and is in a triangle with Uranus
and Pluto which will take us to   a new era where we can be aligned with ourselves. 
Time to move forward with confidence. 

MERCURY, VENUS AND MARS, THE INNER PERSONAL PLANETS ARE MOVING
WITH GREAT SPEED IN SEPTEMBER:

Mercury begins September in fiery Leo and moves into Virgo on 9/2/25, his natural
domicile.  Here is where the planet of the mind and communication skills serves as a
messenger delivering missing pieces of the puzzle.  Logic and insights are on the menu
as practical communication rules.   Mercury unites with the Sun on 9/13, energizing our
minds and pointing us toward our path forward.  On 9/18 Mercury leaves Virgo and
moves into lovely Libra until 10/6/25, bringing diplomacy, peace, forgiveness and
understanding.

Venus shines in Leo from September 1 – 20, then migrates to Virgo from 9/20 – 10/14. 
When Venus shares her beauty in Leo, she is a true beauty and wants to be noticed. 
Venus in Leo is a social animal and full of joy and connection with others.  When Venus
moves into Virgo, a mutable earth sign ruled by Mercury, she brings her caring nature
and is generous with others who need support.  Her love language is sincerity,
helpfulness, precision in all she gives to others.

Mars starts the month in cooperative Libra, holding his aggression in check as peaceful
energy rules.   On 9/4 Mars in Libra squares Jupiter in Cancer, a pattern that expands
our desires.  On 9/22 Mars enters passionate Scorpio and squares possessive Pluto on
9/24. 

With the personal planets moving so quickly while the outer slow-moving planets move
backward, we have an opportunity to  transform ourselves if we have the courage to
move forward.

EQUINOX/SUN IN LIBRA 9/22/25

The Sun enters Libra bringing balance between day and night.  Summer is over and a
new season, Fall, in the northern hemisphere begins.  It is time to seek harmony,
cultivate beauty in the new season as the wheel is turning.  The energy of Libra is
always aware of what others need.  On 9/22 Mars enters Scorpio with his intense
energy that needs a positive outlet where passion and power can flow together.  On
9/25 Mars squares Pluto in Aquarius, bringing transformation energy and a time of
challenge and change.  Every day in 2025 brings the unexpected, which has the power
to rattle our confidence and disrupt our plans.  It is time to go inward, slowly so we can
hear the desires of our heart.  It is time to let go of the past and what no longer serves
us.   The Fall of 2025 will serve the brave who accept endings so they can have new
paths to walk.  Remember we are in a Brave New World that none of us have ever
experienced before.  The lay of the land is no longer smooth, necessitating a slower gait
and deeper awareness of where you are going.
