Greetings:

April is a mighty cosmic month, as the planets continue to bring a blend of dreaminess and tension, opening new chapters after we got shifted with the 2 eclipses in March. It is time to expect major shifts, turning points, endings, breakthroughs and breakdowns. This is a good month for growth, personally and professionally. It is also good for learning from the past: 20/20 vision always comes after we have time to understand past events. As April begins, there is a mix of fire and water with the planets wandering back and forth between Pisces, the last sign of the Zodiac and Aries, the first sign of the Zodiac. We will experience passionate action and going with the flow of fierce independence and boundless interdependence. Expect to encounter the past while storming into a future that is not yet taking recognizable shape. Fortunately, it will not keep us from moving forward.

The initial source of this schizophrenic dance is the movement of the planet Neptune into the energy of Aries on 3/30, for the first time since the 1800’s. Most of us who are familiar with astrology remember the back and forth of the planet Pluto from Capricorn into Aquarius in 2023 and 2024. It had been 250 years since Pluto had danced between Capricorn and Aquarius, therefore we had no conscious or unconscious experience with the phenomenon of the experiences that occurred. The same unfamiliarity will occur during the 20 years Neptune will be spending in Aries. None of us know how Neptune’s visit to Aries will turn out. If that isn’t enough, the third outer planet, Uranus, will enter Gemini on July 7,2025, and unless you are alive and in your 80’s, you have not experienced the possibilities of the planet of the unexpected. Since all of the planets emit energies that aƯect the earth, as well as the animals and people living on Earth, this triple whammy will have us growing and flowing whether we choose to or not. When an outer planet changes signs, it signals the beginning of a new path, a major shift in the ideas and beliefs, mood and spirit of the times. Neptune will remain in Aries within 2 degrees of Saturn from May 25-September 1, 2025 spotlighting contrasts and conflicts between people. Here are the major aspects of April.

STELLIUM OF PLANETS IN PISCES (VENUS, MERCURY, SATURN AND THE LUNAR NODES:

From April 1-5 Venus, Mercury, Saturn and the lunar nodes align at the final degrees of Pisces, forming a potent concentration of endings and dissolution. Mars, the ruler of Aries, will be forming a triangle with this alignment, oƯering vitality, protection and strength. In addition, a helpful sextile pattern between Uranus in Taurus we may have flashes of insight and breakthroughs, which may feel long overdue.

VENUS IN PISCES JOINS SATURN IN PISCES, SUPPORTED BY MARS IN CANCER AND A SEXTILE WITH URANUS:

Venus takes center stage as she creates a triangle with Mars on April 6, joining Saturn on April 7 and Uranus in a supportive sextile on April 8. Love, money, creativity and self-worth come into sharp focus. Time for a reality check as we prepare for a future with these issues. FULL MOON IN LIBRA: On April 12, we may feel deep wounds rising to the surface and the Sun in Aries opposes the Moon in Libra. This is an opportunity to clear the air and find integration and healing, especially to accept vulnerability. It is a time to choose love and tenderness over perfection, and to grieve anything we must leave behind.

MERCURY AND VENUS MOVE FORWARD OUT OF PISCES:

On April 7 Mercury begins his forward movement in Pisces, releasing the diƯiculties in communication, technology and decision making after going retrograde in Aries on March 14, entry into Pisces on March 30, direct on April 7 and fully out of this pattern on April 29. The New Moon in steady Taurus arrives on April 27, so life is settling down, finally! Venus concludes her retrograde journey through Pisces on April 12, just as the Libra Moon (ruled by Venus) reaches a turning point around love, values and beauty. Relationships realign, artistic visions clarify, and self-worth deepens. SUN ENTERS TAURUS: On April 19, as we slow down and return to our bodies, it is time to connect with simple pleasures, sensuality and beauty in the northern hemisphere and enjoy the flowers in bloom and a better climate now that winter is past. On April 20 the Sun will square oƯ with Mars in Leo igniting friction, urgency and clashes with others. On April 23 the Sun squares oƯ with Pluto in Aquarius revealing power dynamics and pushing for transformation. On April 26 Mars in Leo opposes Pluto in Aquarius coinciding with volatility. There may reflect tensions between power and resistance, and freedom and control, moving to challenge authority.

NEW MOON IN TAURUS:

On April 27 at the New Moon in Taurus, we are encouraged to plant seeds of stability in uncertain soil. Venus, the ruler of Taurus in now conjunct Saturn, bringing gravity to questions of love, commitment and financial foundations. Themes of responsibility, scarcity and values come into sharper focus. We now know what we want and where we will direct our energy. It is time to move forward, working with others, and becoming clear about the work that lies ahead. As the door closes on March and the eclipses, we are all strangers in a strange new world. I don’t know about you, but March was a weird month, full of memories of the past and understanding more clearly the meaning of life so far. Aries energy is brave, determined and bursting with energy to begin a new path. If you need someone to listen, encouragement and a dose of optimism, I will be available all month and add Saturdays if needed. I have finished landscaping my yard and completed another landscape job and am available for consultations and/or getting my crew to make your yard beautiful. After 5 months of horrible weather, I have experimented with plants that can withstand heat, drought, snow and freezing, as well as too much rain.
