Greetings

The 2nd half of 2026 brings a sharp inhale before life begins moving again. With Jupiter in Leo, a Mars-Uranus conjunction, a Cancer New Moon, Neptune’s first retrograde in Aries, and finally the Cat’s Cradle pattern with Uranus, Neptune and Pluto waiting their time to emerge. We are in the most significant stretch of the year.  With nodal shifts into a new set of signs, the collective lessons and evolutionary themes, we are now working with the planets as the planetary players move into position.  Breaking out of old patterns creates room for healthier options.  It is as dominoes are falling, cards shuffling and radical changes are at hand.

ASTROLOGICAL PATTERNS FOR JULY:

On July 3, Mars meets Uranus in Gemini, and this may be a day of sudden developments, breakthrough thinking, nervous system volatility, new ideas and technological leaps that are moving with radical instability.  It is time to slow down when things want to speed up. It is better to break out of old patterns which creates room for healthier options as we opt to choose breakthrough thinking.

JULY 5 MARS TRINES PLUTO; JULY 6 SUN IN CANCER SQUARES SATURN:

Mars in Gemini sextiles Neptune in Aries for the first time and then trines Pluto in Aquarius.  The energy of these planets brings us into Neptune turning retrograde, nudging us to question the dreams upon which we have built reality.  Neptune will be retrograde in Aries from July 7-December 12, the first retrograde in Aries since Neptune entered Aries.  It is time to review our visions and ideals and question whether they are holding; Neptune in Aries carries the warrior archetype.  With the Sun in Cancer square Saturn in Aries, it is time to come back to reality and prepare to be more responsible

VENUS ENTERS VIRGO JULY 9: VENUS SQUARES URANUS JULY 13

Venus enters Virgo on July 9, then squares Uranus on July 13.  Love and relationships turn toward something more concrete now.  Venus in Virgo isn’t usually interested in taking risks, but the square might give Venus an unexpected jolt.  Love and relationships move forward, new ideas about health appeal to us, and new boundaries appear as we focus on our desires, finances and maintaining practical, down-to-earth relationships.

CANCER NEW MOON JULY 14:

The energy of the Sun and Moon in Cancer prompts us to plant seeds in the private places in our lives. With the New Moon’s conjunction with Mercury, the conjunction emphasizes intense mental activity.  It is time to open your empathy as a superpower, repairing relations with others.  This is fertile ground for new beginnings: what do we need to feel rather than fix before we move forward?

COSMIC MAGIC: URANUS, PLUTO AND THE CAT’S CRADLE 7/15-21

The back half of July is where July’s real intensity gathers.  This cosmic pattern continues to unfold in real time as we experience one of the most extraordinary planetary patterns astrologers have ever seen.  Uranus sextiles Neptune, Uranus trines Pluto and Neptune sextile, forming a rare cooperative conversation among the three outer planets of revolution, imagination and transformation.  Uranus in Gemini accelerates ideas, technology and social disruption.  Neptune in Aries activates our inner spiritual warrior and ignites a dream of a new identity.  Pluto in Aquarius exposes the shadow and power of humanity.  The Uranus-Pluto triangle on July 17 is the centerpiece of this extraordinary configuration.  Many astrologers believe this is a turning point for humanity as we birth a new civilization.  There is a blanket of light as the planets crisscross and connect and energize 4 major points together.  It’s a once in a humanity kind of moment that begins an entirely new era and establishes a fresh energetic frequency.

JUPITER IN LEO: A SIGNIFICANT ROLE IN THIS PLANETARY PRODUCTION, July 20-21

Jupiter in Leo plays a significant role in this planetary production, perfecting its trine to Neptune, opposition to Pluto and sextile to Uranus on July 20-21.  Jupiter, the largest planet in the zodiac, acts as a magnifying lens and while it is traveling through the territory of Leo the lion.  It encourages courage, creativity and drama.  The desire to shine and to be seen is wildly inspiring and intoxicating.  The Sun moves into Leo on July 22 shifting from Cancer (water) and Leo (fire).

SATURN SLOWS DOWN (7/26): MERCURY MOVES FORWARD 7/23

Mercury in Cancer turns direct on July 23, easing agreements, communication, travel, shopping for major items and feeling in control again.  On July 26 Saturn begins his retrograde period (7/26-12/ 11), opening a season of review and honest assessment, a chance to look carefully at the past several months and make the course corrections that are needed before moving again.

AQUARIAN FULL MOON (7/27-29)

On July 27 the Sun in Leo opposes Pluto, trines Neptune and sextiles Uranus, activating the same three collective planets that Jupiter touched a week later.  On July 29 a Full Moon in Aquarius forms, conject Pluto and in exact conjunction between the Sun and Jupiter.  Venus is squaring Mars in Gemini, creating a kite pattern.  This feels like the culmination of everything July has been building toward.  This may bring a breakthrough that may affect us for a long time.  This is an evolutionary leap of faith with our task to stay awake and stay human as we consciously participate in the wheel of the Cosmos.
